Turning On the Printer 1 Make sure that the printer is connected to the computer and that the power cord is plugged into a power outlet. 2 Press and hold down the POWER button ( ). The POWER light flashes for one to two minutes while the printer warms up. When the printer is ready to print, the POWER light stops flashing and remains green. Caution If you detect smoke, unusual smells or strange noises around the printer, press the POWER button to switch the printer off, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and contact the Canon Customer Care Center immediately.
