Using Maintenance Functions I Aligning the Print Head Each time you replace a BJ cartridge or switch BJ cartridges for a special print job, you must align the print head to ensure optimum results in printing. Print head alignment 1 Open the Printer Properties dialog box, then click the Maintenance tab. 2 Click the Print Head Alignment icon in the Test Prints box. 3 When a conﬁrmation message appears, make sure that the printer is turned on and one sheet of plain paper is loaded, and then click the OK button. The printer starts to print the standard head alignment pattern. 4 When the pattern is printed, click the Yes button. Using the Windows Printer Driver 193
