An Error Message Appears I Error writing to LPT1 or USBPRN Windows You cannot print when this message appears. CHECK 1 IS THE PRINTER TURNED ON? Check the POWER light to see if it is green. If the POWER light flashes green, the printer is warming up. After the POWER light is on, the printer is ready to use. Printer does not turn on CHECK 2 ARE THE PRINTER AND COMPUTER CONNECTED PROPERLY? Check the connections of the printer cable at the computer and the printer. CHECK 3 1 2 IS PRINT SPOOLING OPERATING CORRECTLY? Cancel spooling and send the print job directly to the printer. Open the Printer Properties dialog box from the Start menu: click Start, select Settings, and click Printers. Highlight the Canon BJC-3000 icon and right-click. Select Properties. Click the Details tab and click the Spool Settings button. Click the button for "Print directly to the printer." Troubleshooting 371
