Basic Printing Printing Data through Infrared Transmission If you have a computer or PDA with an infrared port for wireless data transmission, you can print data with a cordless connection with the printer. You can also print an address book, schedule, or memo received from a PDA in a fixed format through infrared transmission. Requirements for Infrared Transmission with the Computer Printing through infrared transmission can be performed under Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98 or Windows 95. In order to use infrared transmission, your computer must satisfy the following requirements: Computer CPU IrDA Baud rate (transmission speed) Infrared transmisssion devices IBM PC/AT or compatible machine Intel Pentium or higher IrDA 1.1 compliant Max. 4 Mbps ·Infrared transmission port incorporated in the computer ·Infrared port (OBEX compliant) of the PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) 11
