NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer. NOTICE: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Before Working Inside Your Computer) before working inside the computer. NOTICE: The hinge cover is fragile and can be damaged if extreme force is used. Be careful when removing the hinge cover. 1. Follow the instructions in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the hinge cover, do not lift the cover on both sides simultaneously. 3. Insert a plastic scribe into the indent to the right side of the hinge cover, and gently pry the hinge cover loose. 4. Ease the hinge cover up, moving from right to left, and remove the cover.

1. Follow the instructions in
