The volume can be adjusted within the range of -80 to +18 dB, in steps of 0.5 dB. However, when the channel level is set ( page 42 or 77, 78), if the volume for any channel is set at +0.5 dB or greater, the volume cannot be adjusted up to 18 dB. (In this case the maximum volume adjustment range is "18 dB - (Maximum value of channel level)".) Also, you may not be able to adjust the volume to the maximum of 18 dB when internal volume compensation control is activated due to the combination of the surround mode and parameters, downmixing from multi-channel audio signals into two channels, etc. 27

To choose the surround sound mode

The volume can be adjusted within the range of

dB, in steps of 0.5 dB. However, when the channel level is

page 42 or 77, 78), if the volume for any channel is
set at +0.5 dB or greater, the volume cannot be adjusted up
to 18 dB. (In this case the maximum volume adjustment
