Removing SlMMs If you need to remove SIMMs from your computer (to install different ones, for example), make sure the computer is turned off and then follow the steps below: 1. Remove any option cards that may be blocking your access to the SIMM sockets. (See page 4-18 for instructions.) 2. Use your fingers or a small screwdriver to carefully pull away the metal tabs that secure the SIMM at each end, as shown below. Installing and Removing Options 4-13
