Removing a Drive From a Horizontal Buy This section describes how to remove a drive from a horizontal drive bay. Although the illustrations show a diskette or hard disk drive in the lower bay, you can use these same instructions to remove a diskette drive from the upper bay. Follow these steps to remove a drive from a horizontal bay: 1. Disconnect the drive ribbon cable and power supply cable from the back of the drive, as shown below. Grasp the cable connectors and pull them straight out from the connectors on the drive so you do not bend the pins; do not pull on the cables. diskette drive Installing and Removing Drives 3-29

Removing a Drive From a Horizontal Buy
This section describes how to remove a drive from a horizontal
drive bay. Although the illustrations show a diskette or hard
disk drive in the lower bay, you can use these same instructions
to remove a diskette drive from the upper bay.
Follow these steps to remove a drive from a horizontal bay:
1.
Disconnect the drive ribbon cable and power supply cable
from the back of the drive, as shown below. Grasp the cable
connectors and pull them straight out from the connectors
on the drive so you do not bend the pins; do not pull on the
cables.
