2. Remove the retaining screw securing the hard disk drive and mounting plate to the horizontal drive bays. Then slide the hard disk drive and mounting plate in the direction of the arrow, shown below, and lift them out of the computer. 3. Remove the four screws securing the mounting plate to the hard disk drive. You can store the mounting plate and its screw or replace it in the computer and secure it with the screw. 4. Wrap the hard disk drive in its original packing materials and store it along with the four screws. 5.
