46 Phone calls Call services From your phone, you'll be able to access and change the settings of various call services for your phone. Contact your mobile operator to find out about the availability of call services. From the Home screen, press MENU and then tap Settings > Call. Fixed Dialing Numbers Voicemail service Voicemail settings Clear voicemail notification TTY mode Hearing aids Phone settings Cell broadcast Cell broadcast settings Call forwarding Call barring settings Additional settings Restrict outgoing calls to a fixed set of numbers. To enable this feature, you must know your SIM card's PIN2 code. Shows the current voicemail service being used. Specify another voicemail number aside from the voice mail number on your SIM card. If you have a notification of a new voicemail, you can clear the notification with this option. Enable this mode to connect and use a compatible TTY device with the phone. Enable HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible) to amplify in-call volume. Edit the call reject message, choose whether to open the message editor when you reject a call with a message, and choose whether to allow automatic saving of an unknown contact number when a call with that number ends. Enable or disable receipt of cell broadcast messages from your service provider. Configure channels and language for cell broadcast messages. Select how you want your phone to handle busy, unanswered, and unreachable calls. You can also set the call forwarding option for all incoming calls. Choose whether to block various categories of incoming and outgoing call. Enable or disable operator services such as caller ID and call waiting. Turning Airplane mode on or off In many countries, you are required by law to turn off the phone while on board an aircraft. A way to turn off the phone function is to switch your phone to Airplane mode. When you enable Airplane mode, all wireless radios on your phone are turned off, including the call function, data services, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. To turn Airplane mode on or off, you can: Press and hold POWER, and then tap Airplane mode. From the Home screen, press MENU. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks, and then select or clear the Airplane mode check box. When enabled, the Airplane mode icon ( ) is displayed in the status bar. When you disable Airplane mode, the call function is turned back on and the previous state of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is restored.
