Installing a PC Card, CompactFlash Card or Smart Card

120 HP Jornada 700 Series Handheld PC Non-memory CompactFlash Cards that require a cable connection (i.e. network interface cards, pagers, or modem cards), must be inserted in the PC Card slot rather than the CompactFlash Card slot. To do this, you will need a PC Card adapter. For a list of recommended PC Card adapters, go to the HP Jornada Web site at www.hp.com/jornada. Many PC Cards use considerable power, and can quickly drain your battery. Connect to ac power while using PC Cards. PC Card and CompactFlash memory modules appear as folders in the My Handheld PC folder. If you have two cards installed, the folders are displayed in the order they were inserted.
