Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 37). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 39). Remove the touchpad: NOTE: All flat cable connectors are covered with a piece of Mylar to prevent accidental disconnection. Be sure to replace this Mylar during reassembly. 1. The bottom of the system board covers the top of the touchpad. You can lift the bottom of the system board up enough to access the touchpad screws without completely removing the system board: a. Remove seven Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (1) from the system board. b. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (2) from the brackets on the system board. c. Disconnect the five cables (3) from along the bottom of the system board. d. system board up enough to access the touchpad screws without completely removing the system
board:
a.
Remove seven Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws

Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws

from the brackets on the system board.
c.
Disconnect the five cables

from along the bottom of the system board.
d.
Lift the bottom of the system board up enough to access the touchpad screws
