Clean the printhead contacts WARNING! This operation is limited to trained personnel only! NOTE: During the installation of the printer, the designated personnel received training for safe operation and maintenance of the printer. It is not allowed to use the printer without this training. Ensure that you have the printer cleaning kit, which is provided with your printer. 2. Ensure that the printer is not printing. 3. Identify which printheads need cleaning, usually after the Internal Print Server recommends replacing or reseating them. 4. Ensure that all windows, covers, and doors are closed and remain in their original position. 5. Move the printhead carriage to the service position. 6. Turn off the printer in the correct way for maintenance operations: see Turn the printer off on page 125. 7. Open the carriage cover. Clean the printhead contacts (in the carriage slot) 1. 1.
Ensure that you have the printer cleaning kit, which is provided with your printer.
2.
Ensure that the printer is not printing.
3.
