5. Remove the gearwheel, using the gear extractor. Installation 1. If necessary, use sandpaper for 5 minutes to increase the diameter where the gear slides in. The same could be done for the end cap. One small piece of sandpaper is provided with the upgrade kit. If it is not enough, use some similar sandpaper. 2. In some cases, the black gear may not be well positioned: the axis on which the gear slides can have slack. When placing the gear, it is important that there is no slack, or it will not be possible to place the C-clip. The two axis positions are shown below, with the gear in two different positions: There may be up to 2 mm of slack when moving the gear left and right.
