Using Your CD-ROM Drive Operating the CD-ROM Drive Verifying the CD-ROM Drive Operation To verify that your workstation can communicate with the CD-ROM drive, follow these steps: 1 In a terminal window, enter the following command: /usr/sbin/ioscan -d sdisk RETURN After a few moments the ioscan utility lists all of the SCSI I/O devices it could find.
