The SMART ENABLE/DISABLE ATTRIBUTE AUTOSAVE command enables and disables the attribute auto
save feature of the device. The state of the attribute auto save feature (either enable or disable) will be
preserved by the device across power cycles.
A value of zero written by the host into the Sector Count register before issuing this command will cause this
feature to be disabled. Disabling this feature does not preclude the device from saving attribute values to
non-volatile memory during some other normal operation. A value of F1h written by the host into the Sector
Count register before issuing this command will cause this feature to be enabled.
Upon receipt of the command from the host, the device sets BSY, enables or disables the auto save feature,
clears BSY, and asserts INTRQ.
During execution of the auto save routine the device does not assert BSY nor de-assert DRDY. If the device
receives a command from the host while executing its auto save routine, the device will respond to the host
within two seconds.
