Gear Display Action Open PINCH OPEN Press the Load/Form Feed key Closed PINCH OPEN Press the Micro ↑ key Open PINCH CLOSE Press the Micro ↑ key 6. The next part of this procedure is forms path sensor tuning. The rear forms path sensor is mounted on one of the platen pinch roller assemblies. Because this sensor has two positions (closed and open), the printer tunes this sensor in each position. During this part of the test, the pinch rollers are closed and opened. The next message displayed will be: SENSORS TUNED Important The paper path sensors were tuned. The tuning must be done with all paper removed. If paper is installed, remove the paper and repeat T&D11 7. If paper was not installed, press the Micro ↓ key. Return to the step that sent you here, or for T&D11 continue with the next step. 8. The ribbon feed motor and the ribbon lift motor run continuously during this test. The message that appears in the display is: TO STOP -> 9. The ribbon feed and lift motors will run continuously until the Load/Form Feed key is pressed. If either motor fails, go to "MAP 0160: Ribbon Feed and Ribbon Lift" on page 89. 10.
