Table 1. Abbreviated list of firmware error codes (continued) Error code Failing device or problem found Suggested action 20EE0100 The firmware code on an I/O adapter is not supported on the blade server. This error code only affects the start-time operation, not the adapter functionality under the operating system. This is an informational message. The adapter firmware code device driver is not supported on the blade server. For a list of supported operating systems and other options, go to http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/ serverproven/compat/us. Remove the adapter and replace it with an adapter whose firmware-code device driver is supported on the blade server. 20FF0001 Problem with VPD. v If a location code is specified, replace the device at that location. v If an error LED is lit, see "Light path diagnostics table" on page 81. Then, replace the failing component, if it is user-replaceable. v Have the blade server serviced if: - There is no location code or error LED to indicate the failing component. - The failing component is not user-replaceable. 21020010 The USB CD drive remained busy longer than the amount of allocated time. 1. Retry the operation. 2. Check the http://www.ibm.com/support Web site for firmware updates for the management module, service processor, and blade server. Apply the latest updates, if they are available. 3. If updates are not available, contact a system administrator for assistance. 4. If the problem remains, replace the USB CD drive. 5. If the problem remains, replace the system-board assembly. For replacement instructions, see the Hardware Maintenance and Troubleshooting Guide. 21020011 The USB CD drive: processing of ATA or ATAPI command was not completed within the amount of allocated time. 1. Retry the operation. 2. If the problem remains, the CD in the USB CD drive might not be readable. Remove the CD and insert another CD. 3. If the problem remains, replace the USB CD drive. 4. If the problem remains, replace the system-board assembly. Contact a service support representative for assistance. 21020012 The USB CD drive: execution of ATA or ATAPI command by the USB CD failed. 1. Make sure that the required cables are correctly attached to the power and signal connectors on the USB CD drive. Make sure that the cables are not damaged. If the cables are damaged, replace them, then, retry the operation. 2. If the problem remains, the CD in the USB CD drive might not be readable. 3. Contact a service support representative for assistance. Chapter 7. Solving problems 69
