The holder opens automatically. Insert a tape and press "PUSH HERE" to close the cassette holder. 2 SELECT OPERATION MODE Set the Power Switch to " " while pressing down the Lock Button. The power lamp lights. 3 PLAY BACK Press 4/6. The playback picture appears. 4 STOP PLAYBACK Press 5. Rewind or Fast-forward the tape Press 2 to rewind, or 3 to fast-forward the tape during Stop mode. NOTES: ● If Stop mode continues for 5 minutes when the power supply is a battery pack, the camcorder shuts off automatically. To turn on again, set the Power Switch to "OFF", then to " ". ● The playback picture can also be viewed in the viewfinder (with the viewfinder pulled out) or on a connected TV (੬ pg. 70, 71). Camcorder operation is the same as described in this section. ● You can also view the playback picture on the LCD monitor with it flipped over and retracted. ● LCD monitor/viewfinder indications: •When power is supplied from the battery pack: the " " battery pack remaining power indicator is displayed on the LCD monitor when it is turned on. When power is supplied through the DC cord: " " does not appear. •During Stop mode, none of the indications are displayed in the viewfinder. ● Copyguarded tapes cannot be played back. The screen displays a blue background. Speaker (or Headphones) Volume Control You can adjust the speaker (or headphones connected to the headphones connector) volume by pushing the Power Zoom Lever. 1 ADJUST VOLUME If you want to turn up the volume . . . .... slide the Power Zoom Lever (VOL.) towards "+". If you want to turn down the volume . . . .... slide the Power Zoom Lever (VOL.) towards "-".
