98 EN Cassette holder PUSH HERE Remove. OPEN/EJECT Switch EJECT USER MAINTENANCE After Use 1 Turn off the camcorder. 2 Slide down OPEN/EJECT in the direction of the arrow, then swing the cover open until it locks. The cassette holder opens automatically. Remove the cassette. 3 Press "PUSH HERE" to close the cassette cover. 4 Open the card cover, then press EJECT. The MultiMediaCard is disengaged from the camcorder. Remove the MultiMediaCard. 5 Close the card cover. 6 Slide down BATT. RELEASE and remove the battery pack. BATT. RELEASE Switch Bottom of viewfinder 1 Blower brush Gap 2 NOTES: ● Avoid using strong cleaning agents such as benzine or alcohol. ● Cleaning should be done only after the battery pack has been removed or other power units have been disconnected. ● Mold may form if the lens is left dirty. ● When using a cleaner or chemically treated cloth refer to the cautions of each product. Cleaning The Camcorder 1 CLEAN EXTERIOR Wipe gently with a soft cloth. •Put cloth in diluted mild soap and wring it well to wipe off heavy dirt. Then wipe again with a dry cloth. 2 CLEAN LCD MONITOR Wipe gently with the provided cleaning cloth or a commercially available soft cloth. Be careful not to damage the monitor. Close the LCD monitor. 3 CLEAN LENS Blow it with a blower brush, then wipe gently with lens cleaning paper. 4 PULL OUT VIEWFINDER FULLY 5 CLEAN VIEWFINDER Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow 1. Insert a lens blower or a soft cloth into the gap at the bottom of the viewfinder and clean the interior of the viewfinder with it 2. 6 PUSH VIEWFINDER BACK IN Close the cover until it locks in place. Tilt the viewfinder horizontally, and push it back in.

USER MAINTENANCE
After Use

Turn off the camcorder.

Slide down
OPEN/EJECT
in the direction of the
arrow, then swing the cover open until it locks. The
cassette holder opens automatically. Remove the
cassette.

Press “PUSH HERE” to close the cassette cover.

Open the card cover, then press
EJECT
. The
MultiMediaCard is disengaged from the camcorder.
Remove the MultiMediaCard.

Close the card cover.

Slide down
BATT. RELEASE
and remove the battery
pack.
Cleaning The Camcorder

CLEAN EXTERIOR
Wipe gently with a soft cloth.
•Put cloth in diluted mild soap and wring it well to
wipe off heavy dirt. Then wipe again with a dry
cloth.

CLEAN LCD MONITOR
Wipe gently with the provided cleaning cloth or a
commercially available soft cloth. Be careful not to
damage the monitor. Close the LCD monitor.

CLEAN LENS
Blow it with a blower brush, then wipe gently with
lens cleaning paper.

PULL OUT VIEWFINDER FULLY

CLEAN VIEWFINDER
Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow

. Insert
a lens blower or a soft cloth into the gap at the
bottom of the viewfinder and clean the interior of the
viewfinder with it

PUSH VIEWFINDER BACK IN
Close the cover until it locks in place. Tilt the
viewfinder horizontally, and push it back in.
