JLIP ID Number Setting VCR TV CABLE/DBS 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 4 2 3 1 5 2 - 4 EN 61 The JLIP (Joint Level Interface Protocol) terminal is used to connect the VCR to a personal computer or similar device. By connecting through the JLIP terminals, you can control the VCR during editing and certain other operations, from the connected personal computer or similar device. When connecting this VCR to another device using the JLIP terminals, each device must have a different JLIP ID number. The JLIP ID number of this VCR is preset to "1" when shipped from the factory. You can change this number to any other number between 1 to 99. To change the JLIP ID number of this VCR, follow the procedure below. 1 Access Main Menu screen Press MENU. 2 Access Initial Set Up screen Press %fi to move the highlight bar (arrow) to "INITIAL SET UP", then press OK. 3 Select JLIP ID Set Up screen Press %fi to move the INITIAL SET UP highlight bar (arrow) to "JLIP ID SET UP", then CLOCK SET UP 3 JLIP ID SET UP press OK. 4 Set JLIP ID Number Press the Number keys to enter the desired ID number, then press OK. PRESS (5∞), THEN (OK) PRESS (MENU) TO END JLIP ID SET UP 1 PRESS NUMBER KEY (O-9) OR (2 3), THEN (OK) PRESS (MENU) TO END 5 Return to normal screen Press MENU.
