7 Adding and Managing Groups Assigning groups This chapter provides procedures for adding and maintaining groups. Groups are a collection of network users whose names can be extracted from the Active Directory Server. You can create a group from the contents of an existing Active Directory Server group and you can add individual users from the Active Directory Server to your group. For more information see the section entitled, "Configuring Active Directory Server settings" in Chapter 4. Adding and Managing Groups
This chapter provides procedures for adding and maintaining groups.
Groups are a collection of network users whose names can be
extracted from the Active Directory Server. You can create a group from
the contents of an existing Active Directory Server group and you can
add individual users from the Active Directory Server to your group. For
more information see the section entitled, “Configuring Active Directory
Server settings” in Chapter 4.
Assigning groups
Setting up groups makes it easier to restrict access to specific jobs to
groups of users.
