To access the Configuration/Setup Utility program: 1 Turn on the computer. If your computer is on when you start this procedure, you must shut down the operating system, turn off the computer and wait a few seconds, and then restart the computer. Do not use Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the computer. 2 When the Configuration/Setup Utility prompt appears in the lower left corner of the screen, press F1. a. If you have not set an administrator password, the Configuration/Setup Utility program menu appears. If you have set an administrator password, type the administrator password and press Enter. b. If you have set both an administrator and a power-on password, you can type either of the passwords at the password prompt. However, if you type your power-on password, you can view limited information in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, but you cannot change settings. To change settings in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, type your administrator password at the password prompt.
