4. Ensure that the cover latch is in the open position. Lower the storage product cover onto the chassis until both sides of the storage product cover engage the guides on both sides of the chassis. Then, pivot the cover latch and slide the cover to the front of the chassis at the same time until the storage product cover snaps into position. Ensure that the cover latch is completely closed. Use a screwdriver to turn the cover lock to the closed position. Figure 95. Installing the storage product cover 5. If the storage product is installed in a rack cabinet, reinstall the storage product into the rack cabinet. See the Rack Installation Instructions that comes with the storage product. 6. Reconnect external cables and power cords to the storage product. See "Rear view of the storage product" on page 17 to identify the connectors on the rear panel of the storage product. Attention: To avoid component damage, connect the power cords last. Note: In most areas of the world, Lenovo requires the return of the defective CRU. Information about this will come with the CRU or will come a few days after the CRU arrives. Updating the storage product configuration When you turn on the storage product for the first time after you install, remove, or replace a device, you might need to update the storage product configuration. Some optional devices have device drivers that you must install. For information about installing device drivers, use the documentation that comes with each optional device. To obtain the supported device drivers for your storage product from the Lenovo Support Web site, go to http://www.lenovo.com/drivers and follow the instructions on the Web page to find and download the device drivers you need. Refer to the following information resources to update the storage product configuration: • To update the BIOS configuration, see "Using the Setup Utility program" on page 31. • To update the RAID configuration, see "Configuring RAID" on page 38.
