To install the TSM Premium module, do the following: 1. Remove all external media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the storage product. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the storage product. 2. Prepare your storage product. See "Removing or extending the storage product from the rack cabinet" on page 43. 3. Remove the storage product cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 43. 4. Remove the riser card assembly 2. See "Replacing the riser card assembly" on page 103. 5. Touch the static-protective package that contains the TSM Premium module to any unpainted surface on the outside of the storage product. Then, take the TSM Premium module out of the package. 6. Locate the TSM Premium module connector on the system board and then insert the TSM Premium module into the TSM Premium module connector. Note: Ensure that the TSM Premium module is securely seated on the system board. Figure 22. Installing the TSM Premium module 7. Reinstall the riser card assembly 2. To install the TSM Premium module, do the following:
1. Remove all external media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the storage product.
Then,disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
the storage product.
2. Prepare your storage product. See “Removing or extending the storage product from the rack cabinet”
on page 43.
3. Remove the storage product cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 43.
4. Remove the riser card assembly 2. See “Replacing the riser card assembly” on page 103.
5. Touch the static-protective package that contains the TSM Premium module to any unpainted surface
ontheoutsideofthestorageproduct.Then,taketheTSMPremiummoduleoutofthepackage.
6. Locate the TSM Premium module connector on the system board and then insert the TSM Premium
module into the TSM Premium module connector.
Note:
EnsurethattheTSMPremiummoduleissecurelyseatedonthesystemboard.
