1 Power supply 1 2 Power supply 2 (available on some models) The hot-swap redundant power supplies help you avoid significant interruption to the operation of the system when a power supply fails. You can purchase a power supply option from Lenovo and install the power supply to provide power redundancy without turning off the storage product. On each power supply, there are three status LEDs near the power cord connector. For information about the status LEDs, see "Power supply status LEDs" on page 28. 3 PCIe slot 2 It is recommended that you attach a RAID card to the low-profile PCIe slot. Physical link width x16 Negotiable link width x16, x8, x4, x2, x1 Supported card length and height Low-profile card 4 PCIe slot 1 Used to attach an Ethernet card or any other supported PCIe card. Physical link width x16 Negotiable link width x16, x8, x4, x2, x1 Supported card length and height Half-length, full-height card 5 System ID LED When you press the ID button on the front panel, the ID LEDs on both the front and rear of the storage product are lit to help you locate the storage product among other storage products. You also can turn on the ID LEDs using a remote management program for storage product presence detection. Status On Off Color Blue None Description The system is identified. The ID LED is not in use or the system is not identified. 6 USB 3.0 connectors (2) Used to attach a USB-compatible device, such as a USB keyboard, mouse, scanner, or printer. If you have more than four USB devices, you can purchase a USB hub, which you can use to connect additional USB devices. 7 8 10 Ethernet connectors (RJ-45) Used to attach an Ethernet cable for a LAN. Each Ethernet connector has two status LEDs to help you identify the Ethernet connectivity, activity, and connection speed.
