Numbers between 0 and 39 are accepted. The corresponding 40 callback numbers are defined by the AT&Zn=xxx command, where n represents the index to the entry and xxx represents the assigned callback phone number. Any character (ASCII 0-127) can be used in the password table. The maximum password length is eight characters for each entry. The security functions are accessible only through AT commands in terminal mode. A supervisory password is required for adding or modifying the entries. The default supervisor password is NETGEAR when the Model XM128 modem is shipped from the factory. This supervisory password is sent to the remote user if Type 1 security is set at the remote end. Setting and Modifying Passwords
The AT*Hn command (where n represents the index to the entry) can define 40 user passwords.
Numbers between 0 and 39 are accepted.
The corresponding 40 callback numbers are defined by the AT&Zn=xxx command, where n
represents the index to the entry and xxx represents the assigned callback phone number. Any
character (ASCII 0-127) can be used in the password table. The maximum password length is eight
characters for each entry.
The security functions are accessible only through AT commands in terminal mode. A supervisory
password is required for adding or modifying the entries. The default supervisor password is
NETGEAR when the Model XM128 modem is shipped from the factory. This supervisory
password is sent to the remote user if Type 1 security is set at the remote end.
To modify the supervisor password, use the command AT*HS.
