Reference Guide for the Model XM128 ISDN Digital Modem S-Register Descriptions In most bitmapped S-registers, the default bit value is 0 (which is the normal situation) and only the nondefault situation is described. Some reserved bits are for factory use, and the user should not change them. Table D-3 describes each basic S-register. Values followed by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings. Table D-3. Basic S-registers ATSn=x Command S0= S1= S2= S3= S4= S5= S7= S8= Function and description Default Sets the number of rings on which the Model 000 XM128 modem answers; 0 value disables auto-answer. Counts and stores number of rings from an 000 incoming call. Defines escape code character, default [+] 043 (43 dec.). Defines ASCII carriage return. 013 Defines ASCII line feed. 010 Defines ASCII backspace. 008 Sets duration, in number of seconds, that the 060 Model XM128 modem waits for a carrier.
