Recording Movies Changing Movie Recording Settings (Movie Menu) The following option settings can be changed. The default setting is d HD 1080pP (1920×1080). • Normal speed movies: When p iFrame 540 (960×540) is selected, movies can be recorded in the format supported by Apple Inc. • HS movies: When k HS 240 fps (320×240), h HS 120 fps (640×480), or i HS 60 fps (1280×720) is selected, movies played back in slow motion can be recorded. When j HS 15 fps (1920×1080) is selected, movies played back in fast motion can be recorded. The camera switches between normal speed movie recording and HS movie recording each time the k button is pressed. E52 Open with HS footage When On (default setting) is selected, record slow motion or fast motion movies from the start of HS movie recording. E53 Autofocus mode Select how the camera focuses when recording normal speed movies. Single AF (default setting) where the focus is locked when movie recording begins, or Full-time AF where the camera focuses continuously during movie recording can be selected. E56 When Full-time AF is selected, the sound of the camera focusing may be heard in recorded movies. If you want to prevent the sound of the camera focusing from being recorded, select Single AF. Movie light When On is selected, enable the movie light that assists recording in dark places during movie recording. The default E56 setting is Off. Wind noise reduction Set whether or not to reduce wind noise during movie recording. During playback, not only wind noise, but other sounds may also become difficult to hear. The default setting E56 is Off. 83
