Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector Exposure Compensation (Adjusting Brightness) By adjusting exposure compensation when taking pictures, you can adjust overall image brightness. 1 Press K (o exposure compensation) on the multi selector. 2 Press the multi selector H or I to select a compensation value. • To make the image brighter, apply positive (+) exposure compensation. • To make the image darker, apply negative (-) exposure compensation. Exposure compensation Exposure compensation value 3 Press the k button. • If the k button is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection is set and the setting menu disappears. • Even when the shutter-release button is pressed without pressing the k button, a picture can be shot using the selected compensation value. • When an exposure compensation value other than 0.0 is applied, the value is displayed with the H icon on the monitor. 4 Press the shutter-release button to take a picture. • To turn off exposure compensation, return to step 1, change the value to 0.0. 29m 0s 1342 Shooting Features C Exposure Compensation Value • The changed exposure compensation value applied in A (auto) mode is saved in the camera's memory even after the camera is turned off. • When the shooting mode is the Fireworks show scene mode (A43), the exposure 58 compensation cannot be used.
