Tip: 3-11 letters are required in the message to add a folder. Note: If 10 user-defined folders exist, "Add Folder" menu disappears. Tip: This feature needs at least one defined folder to move the message. Adding a Folder To the Sprint PCS Web Message After you display a Sprint PCS Web Message, press to display message options. If you want to classify the message to your defined folder: 1. Highlight Add Folder, and press . 2. Select a folder name from the message, and press . 3. If you want the message to be filed into the folder automatically, highlight Yes and press . 4. Highlight the ringer type which alerts you to receive the message, and press . Moving a Sprint PCS Web Message Into the Other Folder After you display a Sprint PCS Web Message, press to display message options. If you want to move the message into the other folder: 1. Highlight Move Message, and press . 2. Highlight your desired folder, and press . Erasing Individual or All Old Sprint PCS Web Messages After you display a Sprint PCS Web Message, press to display message options. To erase a message: 1. Highlight Erase Message and press . 2. Highlight Yes and press . To erase all old messages those were already read: 1. Press of the Navigation key. 2. Highlight Unfiled or folder name, and press . 3. Highlight Erase Old Msgs and press . 4. Highlight Yes and press . Section 8 68 Managing Messaging Classifying Sprint PCS Web Messages Your Sprint PCS Phone allows you to classify received messages into 10 User-defined Folders. If new messages contain the keyword set by you, they are stored into the folder. You can store up to 200 messages. Creating a folder from the folder list display 1. Press of the Navigation key. 2. Highlight Create Folder and press . 3. Enter a folder name from 3 to 11 letters. (See pages 46-49 for entering method.) 4. Highlight Next Step, and press . 5. If you want the message to be filed into the folder automatically, highlight Yes and press . Then select the Ringer Type. Editing the Folder 1. Press of the Navigation key. 2. Highlight Edit Folder and press . 3. Highlight the folder you want to edit. 4. Press . 5. Edit a folder name within 3 to 11 letters. (See pages 46-49 for entering method.) 6. Highlight Next Step, and press . 7. If you want the message to be filed into the folder automatically, highlight Yes and press . Then select the Ringer Type. Erasing a Folder Including Messages 1. Press of the Navigation key. 2. Highlight Erase Folder, and press . 3. Highlight the folder you want to erase and press . 4. Highlight Yes and press . Note: If 10 user-defined folders exist, "Create Folder" menu disappears. Note: The messages within the folder are also erased.
