Changing Your Phone's 11 Settings Changing the Greeting The greeting can be up to 16 characters and is displayed on the first line of your phone's display screen in Standby mode. To change your greeting: 1. From the main menu, highlight Display and press . 2. Highlight Greeting and press . 3. Highlight Change and press . 4. Enter characters. (See pages 46-49 for entering method.) 5. Highlight Save and press . Adjusting the Ringer Volume To adjust the ringer volume: ᮣ Use or of the volume key in the Standby mode. OR 1. From the main menu, highlight Sounds and press . 2. Highlight Ringer/Key Vol and press . 3. Highlight Ringer and press . ᮣ Key Beep for adjusting key beep volume. ᮣ Car/Headset Use for adjusting Headset for the Key volume and CarKit for the Car Kit Ringer/Key volume can also be selected. 4. Select your desired volume level. Ringer Types Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. You can assign ringer types to individual Internal Phone Book entries, types of calls and types of messages. ᮣ Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard ringer types and familiar music. ᮣ Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without disturbing others. Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls To select a ringer type for voice calls so you can tell what kind of call is coming in by the ringer: 1. From the main menu, highlight Sounds and press . 2. Highlight Ringer Type and press . 3. Highlight Voice Calls and press . 4. Highlight one of items within With Caller ID, Restricted ID, No Caller ID or Roaming. 5. Press . 6. Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages.
You can assign ringer types to individual Internal Phone
Book entries, types of calls and types of messages.

Preprogrammed Ringers
include a variety of standard
ringer types and familiar music.

Vibrating Ringer
alerts you to calls or messages without
disturbing others.
Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls
To select a ringer type for voice calls so you can tell what
kind of call is coming in by the ringer:
