Special Functions Broadcasting Broadcasting using a Group Key If the destinations to which you want to broadcast have all been stored in one Group Key (see Storing numbers in Group Keys which follows), you can perform the broadcast operation using the following simplified procedure: 1 Load the document(s). • If desired, press RESOLUTION to set the resolution and/or contrast. 2 Press the Group key. • If the group is a fax group, transmission will begin. • If the group is an e-mail group, you can press to select e-mail options (see Steps 4 to 6 on page 43). When you are ready to begin transmission, START press . Storing destinations in Group Keys Follow the steps below to store a group of destinations in a Group Key. ♦ Any Rapid Key not already in use can be used as a Group Key. A key cannot be simultaneously programmed as both a Group Key and a Rapid Key. ♦ Up to 50 fax or e-mail destinations can be stored in one Group Key. ♦ The destinations must be all fax or all e-mail. It is not possible to mix fax and e-mail destinations. ♦ Only Rapid Key and Speed Dial numbers can be stored in a Group Key. Full numbers cannot be stored. 113

Broadcasting using a Group Key
If the destinations to which you want to broadcast have all been stored in one
Group Key (see

Storing destinations in Group Keys
Follow the steps below to store a group of destinations in a Group Key.
Any Rapid Key not already in use can be used as a Group Key. A key
cannot be simultaneously programmed as both a Group Key and a Rapid
Key.
Up to 50 fax or e-mail destinations can be stored in one Group Key.
The destinations must be all fax or all e-mail. It is not possible to mix fax
and e-mail destinations.
