Appendix Troubleshooting Problem • No power Possible Solution • Check if you pressed TV POWER on the remote control unit. (See page 20.) If the indicator on the Display lights up red or off, press POWER on the Display. • Is the AC cord disconnected? (See page 10.) • Unit cannot be operated. • External influences such as lightning, static electricity, may cause improper operation. In this case, operate the unit after first turning on the power of the Display or unplugging the AC cord and replugging it in after 1 or 2 minutes. • Remote control unit does not operate. • Is the FUNCTION set correctly? Set it to the TV setting position. • Are batteries inserted with polarity (e, f) aligned? (See page 13.) • Are batteries worn out? (Replace with new batteries.) • Are you using it under strong or fluorescent lighting? • Is a fluorescent light illuminated near the remote control sensor? • Picture is cut off/with sidebar • Is the image position correct? (See page 63.) screen. • Are screen mode adjustments such as picture size made correctly? (See pages 69 and 70) • When playing back video in card mode, a part of the image is missing or the image is out of position. • The video playback setting has been affected as a result of moving the image position when playing back a still image in card mode. It is recommended not to move the image position when playing back images from a card. • Strange color, light color, or color misalignment • Adjust the picture tone. (See pages 33 to 36.) • Is the room too bright? The picture may look dark in a room that is too bright. • Check the input signal setting. (See page 67.) • Power is suddenly turned off. • Is the sleep timer set? (See page 72.) • Check the power control settings. (See page 38.) • The unit's internal temperature has increased. Remove any objects blocking vent or clean the vent. • No picture • Is connection to other components correct? (See pages 52 to 58.) • Is correct input signal source selected after connection? (See page 67.) • Is the correct input selected? (See page 67.) • Is a non-compatible signal being input? (See page 94.) • Is picture adjustment correct? (See pages 33 to 36.) • Is "On" selected in "Audio Only"? (See page 71.) • If, after inserting the CableCARD, you are unable to receive broadcast service, remove the CableCARD and reinsert. • No sound • Is the volume too low? (See page 23.) • Is "Variable" selected in "Output Select"? (See page 72.) • Is "On" selected in "Center Channel Input"? (See page 85.) • Upgrade is displayed continuously. • Verify your antenna cable is connected property. • Reinsert the CableCARD. If after reinserting the cableCARD and verifying the antenna cable, and the trouble still exists. Please contact your Cable Provider Company. Cautions regarding use in high and low temperature environments • When the unit is used in a low temperature space (e.g. room, office), the picture may leave trails or appear slightly delayed. This is not a malfunction, and the unit will recover when the temperature returns to normal. • Do not leave the unit in a hot or cold location. Also, do not leave the unit in a location exposed to direct sunlight or near a heater, as this may cause the cabinet to deform and the Liquid Crystal panel to malfunction.
