This completes the installation of the lens unit. Removal is done in reverse order of installation. NOTE: • When unplugging the lens control cable at the time of lens unit replacement, be sure to do so by holding both top and bottom sides of the connector. Doing so by holding both left and right sides of the connector may cause the connector at the projector to come off. Preventing the lens unit from falling When suspending the projector, from the ceiling or otherwise, use commercially available wire rope and an attachment to secure the lens unit. In this case, allow about 20 mm of flexure of the wire rope for the lens shifting range. • Recommended wire: Rope diameter 3.0 mm • Place the wire around the lens unit and the projector's handle, then tighten it with the attachment to fasten it in place. NOTE: • Too tight wire rope can cause structural failure of the lens shift while too loose wire rope can cause the lens unit to fall off. Be sure to adjust the flexure of the wire rope to allow for 20 mm of flexure and secure it. 68
