Threading the machine 1. Place s p o o l o n s p o o l pin. Use the correct spool pin holder to hold 2 spoolfirmlyinplace. 2. Lift the presser foot, and turn the hand wheel towards you until the take-up lever reaches its highest 6 position. 1 3. Leadthreadpassingitfirstunderthe thread guide. Next through the upperslot,leadingthethreadtothe rightandaround(illustration1). 4. Passthethreadthroughthesecond thread guide by inserting it under, and then up fromtheleft and over thetop(illustration2). 5. Passthethreadaroundthetension, so thatitslipsbetweenthetension disks(illustration 3). 6. With your right hand holding the spool of thread, pull the thread coming up the left side of the tension up towards the top of the machine, allowing the thread to slideinsidethehook.Youwillheara clickingsound.(illustration5). 7. Equilibragede laboutonnière Dans certains tissus, il peut apparaître une différence de densité de point entre le coté gaucheet lecoté droitedelaboutonnière. Cette différencepeutêtreaisémentcorrigéeen tournant le bouton (1) situé au centre du sélecteurdelargeurdepoint. Undéplacement,mêmetrèsfaibledecebouton modifieladensité. • Silespointsdu coté droit ( I ) sonttropouverts, tournezleboutonpoussoirversladroitejusq'à cequeladensitédespointsaugmente. • Si l e s p o i n t s d u coté gauche ( II ) sonttrop ouverts, tournez le bouton poussoir vers la gauche jusq'à ce que la densité des points augmente. Après avoir completé toutes les boutonnières, remettez dans sa position centrale le bouton poussoir qui vous a servi à équilibrer les boutonnières. 71
