Format the IC recorder using the formatting function in the menu ( p. 78). Do not use your computer to format the IC recorder. The microSD card has been formatted with a computer using a format that the IC recorder does not support. Format the microSD card using the formatting function in the menu ( p. 78). Save a backup copy of your data and format the IC recorder using the menu ( p. 78). If a problem persists, consult your nearest Sony dealer. A microSD card was inserted during recording or playback. Remove the microSD card and insert it while the IC recorder is in the stop mode. Set the clock; otherwise, you cannot set the alarm. The selected folder does not have any files. You cannot move a file or set the alarm, etc., because of this. There are no track marks when you attempt to erase a track mark or track marks, or divide a file at all the track mark positions. There is no microSD card inserted into the microSD card slot when you attempt to set the "Select Memory," or "File Copy" menus. The selected file is protected or is a "Read only" file. You cannot erase it. Cancel the protection on the IC recorder or cancel "Read only" on your computer to edit the file using the IC recorder. You set the alarm to play back a file at a date and time previously set on another file. Change the alarm setting. You set the alarm when the time has already passed. Check it and set the appropriate date and time ( p. 52). This data is not in a file format that is supported by the IC recorder. The IC recorder supports LPCM(.wav)/MP3 (.mp3)/WMA(.wma)/AAC-LC(.m4a) files. For details, see "Design and specifications" ( p. 101). You cannot play back copyright protected files. Continued
