Table of Contents Index 20 Preparing the Recorder Turning the IC Recorder On Turning the power on Slide and hold the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of "POWER" until the window display appears. The IC recorder is turned on. Turning the power off Slide and hold the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of the "POWER" until the "Power Off " animation is displayed. The IC recorder is turned off.  Hint If there is no operation attempted for approximately 5 seconds in the stop mode, the display turns off automatically (in the power saving mode). If there is no further operation attempted for approximately 10 minutes, the IC recorder turns off completely (automatic power-off function). Using the standby function Slide the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of "HOLD" in the stop mode. The IC recorder enters the standby mode, minimizing the battery consumption of the IC recorder. You can resume operations immediately after you release the HOLD status by sliding the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of "POWER." This function is useful when you want to wake up the IC recorder quickly.  Hint In the normal stop mode, the IC recorder turns off automatically if there is no operation attempted for 10 minutes. In the standby mode, on the other hand, the IC recorder turns off automatically if there is no operation attempted for 24 hours.

Turning the IC Recorder On
Turning the power on
Slide and hold the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of “POWER” until
the window display appears. The IC recorder is turned on.
Turning the power off
Slide and hold the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of the “POWER”
until the “Power Off” animation is displayed. The IC recorder is turned off.
Hint
If there is no operation attempted for approximately 5 seconds in the stop mode, the
display turns off automatically (in the power saving mode). If there is no further operation
attempted for approximately 10 minutes, the IC recorder turns off completely (automatic
power‑off function).
Using the standby function
Slide the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of “HOLD” in the stop mode.
The IC recorder enters the standby mode, minimizing the battery consumption
of the IC recorder. You can resume operations immediately after you release
the HOLD status by sliding the POWER•HOLD switch in the direction of
“POWER.” This function is useful when you want to wake up the IC recorder
quickly.
