HW Setup and Passwords Chapter 7 HW Setup and Passwords This chapter explains how to use TOSHIBA HW Setup program to configure your computer and how to set passwords. HW Setup TOSHIBA HW Setup allows you to configure settings for General, Password, Display, Boot Priority, Keyboard, USB, LAN. If the supervisor password is set, access to the TOSHIBA HW Setup program can be prevented when the user password is used to log on to the computer. Accessing HW Setup Click on Start  Control Panel  Printers and Other Hardware  TOSHIBA HWSetup. HW Setup Window The HW Setup window contains the following tabs: General, Password, Display, Boot Priority, Keyboard, LAN, USB. OK Cancel Apply Accepts your changes and closes the HW Setup window. Closes the window without accepting your changes. Accepts all your changes without closing the HW Setup window. HW Setup and Passwords
This chapter explains how to use TOSHIBA HW Setup program to
configure your computer and how to set passwords.
HW Setup
TOSHIBA HW Setup allows you to configure settings for General,
Password, Display, Boot Priority, Keyboard, USB, LAN.
Accessing HW Setup
Click on
Start
Control Panel
Printers and Other Hardware
TOSHIBA HWSetup

HW Setup Window
The HW Setup window contains the following tabs: General, Password,
Display, Boot Priority, Keyboard, LAN, USB.
General
This window displays the BIOS version and contains two buttons:
If the supervisor password is set, access to the TOSHIBA HW Setup

OK
Accepts your changes and closes the HW Setup
window.
Cancel
Closes the window without accepting your
changes.
Apply
Accepts all your changes without closing the HW
Setup window.
Default
Return all HW Setup values to the factory
settings.
About
Display the HW Setup version.
