Optional Devices TOSHIBA SD memory card format does not format the protected area of SD memory card. When you format all area of the SD memory card including the protected area, use the application that responds to the copy protection system. Inserting an SD card To insert an SD card, follow the steps below. 1. Insert an SD card in the SD card slot. 2. Press gently to ensure a firm connection. Open the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar. 2. Point to SD card and click. 3. Push in the SD card and release it to pop the card out slightly. 4. Grasp the SD card and remove it. If you remove the card or turn off the power while the computer is accessing the card you may lose data or damage the card. ■ Do not remove an SD card while the computer is in Standby or Hibernation mode. Inserting an SD card
To insert an SD card, follow the steps below.
1.
Insert an SD card in the SD card slot.
2.
Press gently to ensure a firm connection.

Removing an SD card
To remove an SD card, follow the steps below.
1.
Open the
Safely Remove Hardware
icon on the Task Bar.
2.
Point to
SD card
and click.
3.
Push in the SD card and release it to pop the card out slightly.
4.
Grasp the SD card and remove it.
