Operating Basics Worldwide operation The Bluetooth radio transmitter and receiver operate in the 2.4 GHz band, which is license-free and compatible with radio systems in most countries in the world. Radio links You can easily establish links between two or more devices. The link is maintained even if the devices are not within line of sight. Please refer also to the electronic information which is included with each software. This BluetoothTM Stack is based on BluetoothTM Version 1.1/1.2/2.0+EDR specification. TOSHIBA cannot confirm compatibility between any PC products and/or other electronic devices that use BluetoothTM other than TOSHIBA mobile PCs. Release Notes related to the BluetoothTM Stack for Windows® by TOSHIBA 1. Install: On Windows2000 or Windows XP, BluetoothTM Stack for Windows® by TOSHIBA does not have a digital signature. 2. Fax application software: Regarding FAX application software, there are some software that you cannot use on this BluetoothTM Stack. 3. Multi User: On Windows XP, the use of Bluetooth is not supported in a multi-user environment. This means that, when you use Bluetooth, other users logged onto the same computer will not be able to use its Bluetooth functionality. User's Manual 4-35
