How to Add Coolant to the Radiator 1. You can remove the radiator pressure when the coolingsystem, cap including the radiator pressure and upper radiator cap hose, is no longer hot. Turn the pressure slowly to the left until it first cap stops. (Don't press down while turning the pressure cap.) If you hear a hiss, wait for thatto stop. A hiss means there is still some pressure left. as you turnit. Remove the pressure cap. .. " 5-18
