Your transmitter housing snaps apartfor ease in battery replacement. To open the housing: I 1. a Insert dime between two halves of the transmitter housing near the key ring hole. 2. Removethe bottom by twisting the dime. 3. Remove and replace the batteries with two Duracell @-type batteries (DL2016 or equivalent), positive side down. 4. Align and snap together the back and top transmitter housings. Endgate (Hatch) Release To open a mechanical lock system from the outside, insert the key in the lock and turn to the left to unlock the glass. If your vehicle has an endgate-mounted spare tire carrier, you must move the carrier arm out of the way to open the glass. 2-8
