Safety Belt Use During Pregnancy Safety belts work for everyone, including pregnant women. Like all occupants, they are more likely to be seriously injured they don't wear if safety belts. A pregnant woman should wear lap-shoulder belt, and the lap portion a should be wornas low as possible throughoutthe pregnancy. a safety belt The best way to protect thefetus is to protect the mother.
