Tightening Wheel Nut Tightening Sequence Use the wrench to tighten wheel nuts firmly ina criss-cross sequence as the shown. Remove the wheel blocks. Storing theJack and Spare Tire Return the jack, wheel wrench and wheel blocks to the proper location in your vehicle's rear area. Secure the items and replace the cover. Put the jack flat tire where the spare tire was stored. you have the underbody carrier: If 1. Put the tire on the ground at the rearthe vehicle, with the valve of stem pointed down and to rear. the 2. Pull the retaining bar throughthe wheel. 3. Put the chisel end the wheel wrench, on an angle, through the hole in of the rear bumper and into the hoist Turn the wheel wrench shaft. clockwise until the tire is raised against the underside of the vehicle. You will hear two "clicks" whenthe tire issecure, but pullon the tireto make sure. 5-34
