Then, without shuttingoff the engine, follow these steps: 1. Flip the handle up and then pull out the dipstick and wipeit with a clean ragor paper towel. 2. Push it back in all the way, wait three seconds and then pull out it back again. 3. Check both sides the dipstick, and read the lower of level. The fluid COLD area for a cold checkor in theHOT area or level must be in the cross-hatched area for a hotcheck. 4. If the fluid levelis in the acceptable range, push the dipstick back in all the way; then the handle down lock the dipstick in place. flip to 6- 16
