USEFUL SKILLS Sewing corners 6 Stop the sewing machine with the needle in the fabric at the corner, then raise the presser foot and turn the fabric. When sewing seams which are less than 5.0 mm (13/64" in width), baste the corner, then continue sewing while slowly changing the 6 sewing direction and pulling the basting thread toward the rear of the machine. Sewing folded parts Support the fabric while feeding by hand and sew the fabric toward the folded side. Sewing curves 5 6 Sewing a curve with a straight stitch Sew slowly while keeping the seam parallel to the fabric edge as you guide the fabric around the curve. 32
