Registering Required Sender Information In the United States, FCC rules governing the use of facsimile equipment state that the following sender information must be printed on every facsimile transmission: • Your fax/telephone number • Your personal name or company name • The date and time of transmission Your machine has been designed to print this information at the top of every fax you send. You must therefore register your machine's fax/telephone number, your personal name or company name, and the current date and time before using your machine. This section gives details on registering the sender information. What is Sender Information? When you receive a fax, the name of the person or company who sent you the fax, their fax/telephone number, and the date and time of transmission will be printed in small type at the top of each page. This information is 2 called the Sender information or the Transmit Terminal Identification (TTI). Similarly, you must register your details in your machine so that whenever you send a fax, the other party knows who sent it, and when it was sent.
