Battery Meter on Taskbar The battery icon in the notification area (system tray) on the taskbar is a quick way to view the remaining battery charge. The icon changes appearance to indicate when the charge is getting low. Hold the onscreen pointer over the icon to see the charge in a tool tip. In Windows 95, double-click the icon to open the battery meter. Gauge on the Battery Pack To see how much charge remains in a battery pack before inserting it into the computer, press the button 1 on top of the battery pack to activate the charge level lights 2. Each light represents 20 percent of a full charge. If all five lights are on, the battery pack is fully charged. If two yellow lights are on, only 40 percent of a full charge remains. Gauge on the Battery Pack
