Removing/Inserting a Drive in the Armada 7000 Removable Drive MultiBay Adapter An Armada 7000 Removable Drive MultiBay Adapter is supplied with the computer CD-ROM drive models and with Armada 7300 20X Max CD-ROM drive option kits. There are two models of the MultiBay adapter. One model has a release latch on the right side, and the other model has two release latches on the bottom. You may have either model. The adapter is not needed to insert an Armada 7300 removable drive into the Armada 7300 computer MultiBay. Before inserting a removable drive into the computer MultiBay, follow the steps in this chapter to remove the drive from the adapter model that you have. NOTE: When the adapter is not being used, protect it by placing it into the MultiBay device carrying case. When a CD-ROM drive or diskette drive is out of a MultiBay, protect it by inserting it into the MultiBay adapter, then into the MultiBay device carrying case. The adapter is needed to insert an Armada 7300 removable drive into a MultiBay of the ArmadaStation, Armada MiniStation EX, or Armada 7700 computer. With the adapter, the following Armada 7300 removable drives can be used in Armada 7000 MultiBays: s Diskette drive in the ArmadaStation, Armada MiniStation EX, or Armada 7700 computer s 20X Max CD-ROM drive in the ArmadaStation or Armada MiniStation EX Before inserting a removable drive into one of the Armada 7000 MultiBays listed above, follow the steps in this chapter to insert the drive into the adapter model that you have.
